Mounted orchids inside, definately yes! I have used cork chunks, clay saucers, tree fern fiber plaques and lately EpiWeb. In all cases with some NZ moss under and sometimes over the plant roots. All are growing under lights.

As Ray and others have indicated, the biggest challenge is being able to water them often enough and are you able to do that.

Mine would be much happier being hosed down daily - so would I to have a life with that much time!!

as for frequency of watering - I only have a handful of small plants on mounts so I don't find it to be a problem. Its just part of my routine - same as water and food for pets! And only takes a few minutes.
