Wilt and bloom

Is it normal for flowers to start wilting while other buds start blooming?

The flowers have been opened for a couple of weeks. In the meanwhile, the buds stayed closed, but now, the early flowers are wilting while a couple buds have started to bloom.

I have not watered the plant since I got it 11 days ago but the roots still look green and not silvered/whitish yet. I spritz it with a mister every morning.
