The new 'growth' also definitely looks mitten shape to me too..
so, you'll probably get a spike and,
as Mayres said it should start putting out roots too sometime in the future.. & becoming a new plant..? thanks for sharing & keep us posted

Hello everyone,

it was a spike indeed, with cute and tiny flowers. They lasted only about a month though.

I will take a new picture of the plant and post it tomorrow
