Good afternoon. My name is Zelvan, formerly known as Zoren. I have been trying to fix my old account for a while now. I finally gave up and started a new account. I can't remember when I joined the Orchid Board, but it was many years ago. It's great to be back. I live in South Florida; I'm 83 years old, a disabled military veteran, and although I've been keeping orchids for a long time I'm still learning and having problems. This past summer's heat has been brutal, and it seems to have affected my orchids poorly. I have several Psychopsis that before the heat of this past summer were blooming quite regularly, about every 4 to 8 weeks. They haven't bloomed since May or June of 2024. They have buds (some plants still have buds) but they don't bloom, and all of the spikes are green. I was thinking about repotting the plants to see if they might bloom. I'm asking members if they have been having problems with their orchids because of the heat this past summer. And if anyone can give me some idea of why my Psychopsis orchids aren't blooming. My other orchids have slowed down also but, my Phalaenopses are in bud looking forward to some beautiful flowers. Well, that's all for now, waiting for a one (or several) members to share their experiences and some advice to help me with my Pyschopsis problem
