Cold damage on nodosa hybrid
Default Cold damage on nodosa hybrid

Welp…It’s been pretty cold and rainy(between 55F and 41F)for the past several days, so I prolonged the inevitable and didn’t check on plants growing on trees until today—surprisingly, almost everyone is doing alright with the exception of this nodosa hybrid.

Is this discoloration a result of the cold and wet conditions it endured?

Thanks in advance!

I think so. I wouldn't worry about it, doesn't look bad. I'll recover, probably eventually shed the damaged leaves once it grows a few more and doesn't need them. Rather cold for your neighborhood!

Thank you for the reassurance, Roberta—I need that plant to pull through for the sake of another one on that tree!

It’s been downright cold by our standards and that rain wasn’t welcome—most everyone north of Lake Okeechobee was in the 30’s last night! North Florida got the biggest surprise with the snow, though!
