Vanda death - propagation? Male
Default Vanda death - propagation?

My Vanda was not happy and has now lost all its leaves, which I assume means death? I have cut out the top and found rot, which I guess is not a surprise in a British winter even though it is in the house.

But my question is more profound. Why can I not propagate from it? I have a good set of roots….

If the root system is still good and you didn’t remove too much of the “stem”, there might be enough mass for the plant to redirect meristematic tissues into new growth.

I’d approach it by watering it daily, keeping it very warm and humid, and add 1% Kelpak to the water every two weeks. That may give it the resource boost it needs.
