I bought mine from the Brother site but you can also find them at most office supply stores. I have never seen the colored labels in the stores. Most stores only carry the 1/2" tape but I prefer the 3/4" because I can get 3 lines on that size in a font which is easy to read. On occasion I will use the 1" tape but some of the label machines will not use 1".

Good luck. I love mine and wish I had started out with them. The tape will stick to any label but I prefer the ones I use because I can also write on the back side and keep the info in columns. The sale Charley has now is a very good price.

Can you understand why me kids say "Mom, you are sooooo organized"?

The white labels (sticks), with the printing on them are what I was refering to from Charleys Garden. The green sticky label I just print up and place it on the label (stick). Before I bought my Brother labeler I used the heavy pencil markers from Kellys Korner. I still use them to write my own info on the back of the label, A sharpie pen will fade in time. A regular #2 pencil will also work but I use the pencil from Kellys because it writes heavy and dark.

Kellys Korner also sells the labels but they are a lot more expensive for the same thing. I just ordered some more from Charleys Garden, after they sent me the catalog with the sale listed for them. They are now 50 labels for $3.40.

The P-touch label adhesive is remarkable. I put our name on some serving utensils before going to a neighborhood picnic 9 years ago. They get used several times a week, and go through the dishwasher each time.

Still there, looking good as new.

There is also a sightly more expensive "industrial" grade adhesive available in the black-on-white label, but I don't see a need for it.

Note to self:
get a Brother P-Touch!

Thanks for the info Marilyn and Ray...I've been under the wrong assumption that an adhesive label wouldn't last.
