If I have pictures they are packed away, sorry.
It looked like an extension cord or skinny garden hose looped over something.

Hello Rogue, don't know if you are still on the forum. I have only just joined and saw your post albeit from 1 and 1/2 years ago or so.
I have sourced V. planifolia plants (rooted cuttings) from daleys fruit trees ( Fruit Trees, Plants Australia - Daleys Fruit Tree Nursery ). Fair price. Arrived in good condition. Currently growing in my dining room in Western Victoria. Moving them to a grow tent in the next few weeks. Will start propagating by cuttings in about 4-5 months.
Established plants from cuttings is the way to get started.

Default Try Daleys

Hi Rogue - As you are in Australia I suggest that you checkout Fruit Trees, Plants Australia - Daleys Fruit Tree Nursery
That is where I purchased my initial stock - fast delivery, good prices, vanilla arrived in great condition.
Apologies for the double up - the board did not show my original reply until after I posted this one and it is proving difficult to remove.
