I feel like I tend to jump the gun on repotting. This is one of my phals. Lost its blooms back in June, and I didn't repot at that time because the roots didn't look as crowded as they do now. Would this be considered too crowded?
P.S. The plastic pot is the one it came in, I cut slits in it with a craft knife, just FYI.
P.P.S. Also FYI, please disregard my disjointed thumb. He's a heavy boi to hold in one hand. 😆
For Phals in sphagnum, one trigger for repotting is determined by the condition of the moss. If it's still fluffy you can wait. Another trigger is when the roots push the plant up out of the pot. From what I can see yours is still OK, unless the moss actually doesn't look good in person.
