I am basing this on similar temperatures that a Nobile can handle so cold dip in winter and high light requirement, they can all handle Nobile light or higher.

The first two suggestions are big plants, even bigger than a Den nobile which the OP says is already too large for the location.
The Neostylis could be a good option, or any of the other Neofinetia x Vanda hybrids. They stay compact and can handle high light.
Longroots- you could consider an Ascocentrum. I think they can take full sun (especially at our latitudes) , and many of them are rather small plants.
