PS My perspective may be off, but it sure looked from the pictures like a 2L soda bottle would fit it.

Does it matter if the roots will be visible on the sides of the bottle? Or should they all be completely covered by the bark?

Went with the bottle then, the roots nearly went all the way to the bottom so it should be better than what it had before, fingers crossed it will grow more leafs.
If I come across a better container in the future I will grab it

ah but the point of a plastic bottle is so you can add air holes, especially if it is so tall.
You can still easily do this with some pointy nail scissors. Just cut like 8 small holes into the bottom and middle to give the pot aeration holes.

I made around 9-10 large ones on the bottom for water to drain and few dozen small ones on the side 👍

I don't, I guess I should say didn't ever put holes in the side of plastic pots. Nowadays I rarely use a bark medium though, but sure have in the past. Never did net pots either. I think that's one's particular culture, not a necessity for the plant.

From the looks of it, that big guy should do just fine like that. If he outgrows the pot, you'll know when he decides to take a walk across the room!
All kidding aside that should work just fine.

Nice! And it appears to have multiple spikes too. Good job.

oh the flowering one has one spike, there is one behind that originally when I bought it had 2 spikes. That one flowered a while ago, flower dropped but I kept the spikes and then it started growing more out of both spikes!
