Follow up on weather discussion

Orchid growing in Arid New Mexico.

In the winter I pay more attention to night temps and lower the blinds. Now that it is spring, I can leave them up in East widow, and pull sheers for late morning sun.

I have 9 rebloomers, all Phals and Mini Phals from 2019. Blooms smaller than when I bought them. None of my Onc.s have bloomed yet, nor my fast growing zygopedalum that is a yearling.
How long for the zygo to bloom, another yr or two??? it is mostly healthy looking, less black spots, and have lost no leaves.

All my pseudobulb orchids are plump except one and I am patiently babying it back to life and health. One mini phal looked like it had crown rot and lost leaves on just one side, other side look plump and roots ok.

My four new Vandas...all mature.... are doing better. dropping leaves damaged in trans, and in general look healthier. I have a system, dunk once or twice a day for as long as I remember they are in water, then dry out overnight and start again. I am looking forward to their growth and blooms, esp the Bangkok sunset. Yahhh!!! :

The Vandas have gotten a good start with all the great advice here especially from ES, re temp, light, increased fertilizer and dunking habits. Thanks to all
