Back in early November 2019, I purchased a flat with Cym. dayanum seedlings from C&H. Most of the seedlings were single growth, but with 1 or 2 starts each. Plantlets were nice, so I potted most of them up into 2.1/2" pots. A few had too long roots, so they went into 3.1/2"; the runts were potted 3-4 pcs into 3.1/2" size also.
Yesterday, just 7 months later, I noticed that many of the larger plants were pushing themselves out of the 2.1/2" pots, so I pulled 30 for re-potting. Here is the first one I pulled out of the pot. The red arrow points to the original seedling, which set 2 new growths (both near BS now). Each of these have 1-3 new starts already. I was unable to fit these into 4.1/2" regular pots, had to go to 100 mm (4") extra deep pots to accommodate the roots.
Last time I grew Cym. dayanum from plugs (similar size), I bloomed one in 11 months, so I anticipate that I will get a few blooms on these this coming winter. The rest will certainly be blooming size by the fall of 2021.

I grow all my Cymbidiums in a 'European' style terrestrial mix, where almost 30% is composted manure. Then we fertilize every 2 weeks on top of that.

Don't worry, I won't put in too large a pot. I don't even thing I have one big enough for a size up at this point! lol
This one has already pushed itself a few inches out of the current pot! I'll have to grab a photo and post it here.
