Unless you have a very large 6+ fans, a 3" pot should be sufficient. Smaller plants (beanleafs) or single fans should have even smaller pots. If you continue to use sphag, you should use a net pot or something very open. A pic of the whole plant and pot and the name of the cultivar would be helpful. You don't have to pot in the Japanese method. If you choose not to, all the usual rules apply.
