But... I should just install the RO unit sitting on my laundry room counter, that I bought new filters for and everything, because you're right, RO water makes more sense.

Because I want to do some research on what's out there now, in order to keep myself from impulse buying another dendrobium cuthbertsonii. If I am actively looking into plants and carefully selecting them, I will be much less likely to hit "buy" before I'm sure I can grow something.

Why look on line when orchid show season is upon us. This month Grand Rapids, next month E. Lansing, believe March's show will be Ann Arbor, and April's in Madison Hts. (Not that I'm trying to enable you or anything. )

LOL! I live in Washington, so none of those are really within a day's drive of me. However, our local OS does have a show they're doing in March or May, I can't remember which, I'll have to look and I think there's one in Seattle too. I do have one plant that my daughter wants that I'll probably have to order online (she wants Phal yu pin panda), so shopping online will allow me to get her plant and a couple of "traveling companions" that might not otherwise be available to me.

Shows are great ways to see orchids. Some of them look much better live than in photos. Usually the vendor will have a sample in bloom so you can see what you are buying.
