well, i'm finally able to remove Haraella odorata from my wish list -it was holding #1 spot for ages!
judging by the root tips, it's not growing actively right now. i've been watering it daily now over the weekend but should i withhold fertilizer until i see new root growth?
otherwise it appears to be in good condition with one bloom, which hasn't quite fully opened though. i'm keeping it in my tank in high humidity.
I water mine with 125ppm Nitrogen mix every other day and it has responded great to the higher humidity in my tank. These things are in constant spike/bloom when growing well. I had an adventure with bug spray recently that set the spikes on one of mine back a ways. I am sure it will one day pull through, but all I get are BBs for buds and they don't open. My others are fine. Great addition you have there and I am sure you will enjoy it.
Thanks Ross, i thought i might be getting a fast reply from you on this one..
Do you watch out for the blooms when misting/watering?

No. I dunk the orchids when I water/fertilize, but in between they get misted 3-4 times a day for 5 seconds. That keeps humidity above 90% Mine don't have any fragrance (to me) so I don't worry about wetting the blossom. I'd recommend not wetting yours till you know whether it has frangrance. If it does, and you want that to continue, avoid wetting flower.

Doesn't wetting the blossoms sometimes cause spotting on them? I've always tried to protect blooms from any spray but perhaps I'm worrying needlessly.

I totally dunk mine, 'cause I already know they aren't fragrant (to me). No they don't spot or have any adverse reactions. All I have "heard" is that until you know whether yours is fragrant or not, don't get the flowers wet. Can't tell you I know from experience because I do not. I just smelled the first blossom I got, didn't smell anything, so it went into full dunk mode from then on
