Rosie- Check the base of the canes of your plants.
You should see one to three large dormant eyes. If these are all destroyed (dark or hollow), and the roots are not that good, which was the case with mine, it is better to just have the cane layed on the moist moss and keep it covered like I did. More than one dormant eyes above these dead dormant eyes will wake up after some time.
Mine took longer than a couple of month before I saw any signs of keikis.
After I had three keikis off the main canse, I kept the canes in the plastic container with moss. and now I see three more dormant eyes waking up. Yay!!!!
The bottom three canes in the first picture is the same NOID dendrobium that I "harvested" three keikis recently and about to grow some more ( close up in the second picture).
Top two canes are of Dendrobium Genting Fragrance.
These had bad roots but the main dormant eyes at the base were is are alive, so they also joined the club.
