Sounds great Maria. I'm experimenting with net pots too and so far I like the results. I'm really pleased with the 5" and 6" pots. The 3" size seemed to dry out too rapidly, so I slipped them into slighty larger terracotta pots to counteract the dryness. This method seems to have resolved the issue.

I agree with you, Junebug. The 5" net pots are my favorite. All my oncidiums and most of my phals are in them with a coconut husk chip and charcoal medium.

I might have to give net pots a try. I'm starting to hang most of my plants and I think that net pots might work better than terra cotta pots. I bet that the cattleyas will be very happy in them.

I like hydro net pots for my plants. I have some plants in moss, some in CHC, some in Hydroton, some in a mix of all. I have my stanhopea's in larger mesh pots and some of my earlier plants in the larger mesh pots. Some plant in the Catt. and Vanda alliance seem to like wood baskets better for me.
I was up at SBOE last fri. and picked up about 20 $7.50 specials!!!! Great buys!!!!!

I found my net pots/baskets at Roberts Flower Supply ROBERTS FLOWER SUPPLY, a place here in Ohio.
Good luck!
