Safely slowing bud growth?
Okay, I am sure everyone of you wish there was a way to speed up bud growth and development, but is there a way to safely SLOW DOWN bud growth? I have a Phal. ATL Crossing that has a bud developing, and a Phal. Penang Girl that is also growing a bud, but that is slightly younger. I am planning on crossing the two with Penang Girl being the pod parent, but the ATL Crossing bud is larger, and will definately open sooner, since I want to leave the Penang's bud on for about a week (this will be it's first bloom under my care), The ATL Crossing's bud could be up to two weeks old, thus making the pollen less fertile. So here I ask again the question, is there ANY way to slow down bud growth by even just a small fraction, without any chances of bud blast? Any responses and thoughts would be much appreciated!
