A "little" suggestion...
Haha, "little" suggestion, because I'm asking for advice on miniatures... Get it? Not funny? That's ok. I amuse myself at least.
I want an orchid for INSIDE my house to sit on a north-facing yet still-sunny kitchen windowsill. I currently have a baby fig tree and philodendron doing very well there. It will have to be very small, as the ledge is maybe 4" wide. I am comissioning my very talented sister, who is a clay artisan, to make me a tiny 2-2 1/2" pot. (can go a little larger if needed.) I am more concerned about the plant fitting the pot and living on the sill than adjusting the environment/ potting style to suit the plant.
Any suggestions for species? No hybrids, please. I was thinking Schoenorchis fragrans, but know almost nothing about its needs. Also, most of the ones I've seen are mounted, not potted. Thanks in advance for your help!
(btw- I have double posted this message for the purpose of maximum exposure in the Advanced forum as well as Miniatures Show-and-Tell. If this is a no-no, I won't be offended if one of the posts is deleted.)

Schoenorchis fragrans does better mounted with no moss on a stick.
They like bright indirect light. Cattleya light if you will.
I couldn't smell anything from the flowers, so I'm not exactly sure why they're called "fragrans".
Temperature range is intermediate to warm.

Well my project plant - haraella odorata, is growing on my north facing kitchen windowsill. It is in a 2" pot. Seems pretty happy there I guess as is growing and now has a spike

I don't think a north window is enough light to bloom the Haraella. Orchidwiz says 2000-3000fc for them, and mine easily tolerates sun all morning, and could probably take more.

I have several orchids on my kitchen windowsill - its just over 4" and accomadated up to 4" pots just fine.
What I have there now besides haraella - mini noid phal from HD - no fragrance but cute flowers
den atroviolaceum v pygmy - no fragrance but awesome blooms
den aussie chip - has a bit of 'fragrance' but not really an awesome scent
p stuartiana - not sure if these are fragrant - haven't had it long
My Oda Margarete Holm has excelled in kitchen window - has 9 pbulbs and getting more in a 3" pot - blooms fabulously - again no fragrance but fantastic blooms
So perhaps a onc twinkle (smaller and very fragrant) may do well ?
My den kingianum also has done well in same window - has a nice but faint fragrance

Camille - mine has started a spike
and lots of stuff blooms for me in the north window - including lots of plants I didn't expect blooms from lol (catnip, basil - this won't stop blooming actually and is annoying me lol, pink polka dot plant)
And african violets do very well too
Maybe a difference of latitude ? idk
I don't know why this is but it is

I have a schoenorchis potted in an ERIN pot in my office. I bought it recently and it's growing a new leaf. It's potted in 100% moss.
