I thought you all might be interested to see a view of the Japan Grand Prix International Orchid Festival 2009, which is on in Tokyo this week. The event is held annually in Tokyo Dome, Tokyo's largest baseball arena. It is amazing to see the entire ground filled with orchids.

I could get lost for days inside that place. I doubt I would be able to carry every plant that I would want. Did it smell wonderful in there? Thanks for sharing this picture. We all can only dream!! Betty

Wow. I was planning to visit the show this year in conjunction with visiting my parents. BUT I decided not to due to the current weak US dollar. I figured it will cost me at least $2000 for a round-trip transportation once I get there.

I look forward to seeing more pictures. Thank you for sharing.

It was wonderful, and well organized, including numerous shops with growers from all over the world. I have to go back again at least once, before the end of the week! I ran out of hands on Saturday!
