My Spathoglottis kimballiana var antiquensis hasn't stopped blooming since I bought it last spring. It has probably produced upwards of 40-50 spikes this year....and 25-30 at one time! It keeps the house well-stocked with fresh-cut flowers.

I do think you may be on to something here. Thanks for the suggestion. I've looked at several pics on the web and I do believe that is what I have here. (At least that's what I'm calling it from now on.) :biggrin:

I don't know if you can add these through an edit or not but I just remembered some miniature dendrobiums that are near ever-blooming. They are: Den. Aussie's Chip,
Den. Maiden Charlotte and Den. Mini Snowflake.

My ultimate aim is to have at least one fragrant orchid blooming at any one time. I don't have a shade house, so space is limited. Just about every window is now covered with orchids, ditto with the outside porches.

So far my longest flowering orchid is a NOID large white phal that has been blooming for 5 months (my neighbours thought it must be a fake one). Just when the last bloom dropped, I noticed 4 new buds growing out from behind the last bloom! This plant was a cheapie from the local shopping centre. My tiny Orn radicans has been blooming forever, and a Onc Sharry Baby just throws out new blooms on a regular basis and smells gorgeous. I finally got sick of the smell of my Dendrochilum magnum - it is still blooming after three months.

Stima Kelly Lea is my favorite as it continuously puts up new pseudobulbs and every single one blooms when it reaches 4-5 inches. I usually have 4-5 new pseudobulbs growing on a 4 inch pot plant.

It is as close as you can get to continuous for a Cattleya alliance orchid.

Spathoglottis terrestrial orchids will continually put new flower buds on the same stem for what seems forever until you cut them for being too long.

Psychopsis flowers last 2-3 weeks and then fall off with a new bud forming on the tip of the same stem even before the old flower dies. It can usually have 6 or more flowers a year on the same stem for many years in a row.

Any orchid old enough and big enough to have many flowering points can have some flowers for almost forever. I have a friend with Vanda, that has several that have a flower for the last 5 years. They are about 8 feet high and 6 feet across. They grow as if they were 50 different plants.

....except Psychopsis goes dormant for the winter, it is not everblooming.

I have never seen a psychopsis go dormant. I usually have about 12-20 in stock and they were blooming all winter long
