This is a Miltassia Charles M Fitch ‘Izumi’. A very common hyrbrid.

One of its flower spikes has developed in a very peculiar way. It has a cluster of leaves and pseudobulb-like growths at the end of a rather robust flower spike. The flowers themselves have died off while still buds.

There are two other spikes, which are semi-normal - a bit twisted and maybe stunted perhaps.

Has anyone seen this before? I haven’t.

Cheers
Arron
