I mist them sometimes- the biggest just moved into a 66cm tall glassvase, hoping for it to grow back some roots. Had it in bark for 6 months, didnt like that.
Last year and this year. Decided it behaved more like a vanda orchid- so back to free roots.
And this other one the same- used to be in a pot- kinda ended up twisting itself and growing sideways- all over the place…
^^
A pot- guess its been in the same pot for years. Yeah. I didnt repot any plants until I started my repotting project last year
there is a plastic pot inside the grey pot, inside a glass pot thingy (so I didnt spell water all over the place)
Now its more happy, and given a bath every now and then- sits for hours in water and then empty. Been like this since last year, and seem to like it- tried being on bark for a while, didnt go well
Had more roots last year, some died during winter, I was away for a couple months…
All my phalaenopsis are in post 57 in this long and picture heavy thread.
Repotting overgrown phal
A thread from when I started repotting, and well- pics and me trying different things 😂
And nope- I dont do anything with them- sometimes I use a wet towel to dust them. Rarely give them any fert, rarely use chemicals. Just water- been trying to give rainwater the last year. They just seem to like me- except from times when I do mistakes, or forget them.
But yeah, they tend to become shiny- new ones arent as shiny, but when they get new leafs they are more shiny. Maybe because its dry in my house- they need to be more leathery to keep moist?
And since I cant grow outside, I dont have problems with bugs and insects eating them.
Yeah, I love pics and I love to write😎😂😜
