Default My windowsill plants are having a dinner party️

Saturday, and a great day to check on all the plants. Lol, I do check them almost every day, but once a week I like to do them all at once.

To make sure I dont forget any I put them all at my dining table, remove dust from the windowsill, and then I check them all, and put them back.

They are in different medium, depending on whatever I feel the plant like. Actually its easy after having a plant for a while, there are always signs telling if you are doing okay, or if its a bit unhappy.
My plants thinks it spring now, after being placed in a cooler room for the winter.

Anyway- here they are, and I just love weekends that are quiet with enough time to care for my plants.

And do feel free to add pics of your plants, or windowsill collection. Its so fun looking at pictures.

Oh, and today my hubby was looking at greenhouses aswell, I told him we need to get one- look how beautiful it is when you have them all together in one place😎

(And of course, that means I can collect more plants😎😉 I didnt tell him that, though😂 But he do think they are pretty. And besides: happy wife, happy life😉👍&#127995

So where did you have dinner then?
Jokes aside, do you polish leaves? I see the leaves are very clean and shiny.
and those plants that are in the glass container, do you mist them everyday? can't really see well but they look like they are just hanging in the air inside the glass container.

Cool!!

I mist them sometimes- the biggest just moved into a 66cm tall glassvase, hoping for it to grow back some roots. Had it in bark for 6 months, didnt like that.

Last year and this year. Decided it behaved more like a vanda orchid- so back to free roots.

And this other one the same- used to be in a pot- kinda ended up twisting itself and growing sideways- all over the place…

^^
A pot- guess its been in the same pot for years. Yeah. I didnt repot any plants until I started my repotting project last year there is a plastic pot inside the grey pot, inside a glass pot thingy (so I didnt spell water all over the place)

Now its more happy, and given a bath every now and then- sits for hours in water and then empty. Been like this since last year, and seem to like it- tried being on bark for a while, didnt go well

Had more roots last year, some died during winter, I was away for a couple months…

All my phalaenopsis are in post 57 in this long and picture heavy thread.
Repotting overgrown phal

A thread from when I started repotting, and well- pics and me trying different things 😂

And nope- I dont do anything with them- sometimes I use a wet towel to dust them. Rarely give them any fert, rarely use chemicals. Just water- been trying to give rainwater the last year. They just seem to like me- except from times when I do mistakes, or forget them.

But yeah, they tend to become shiny- new ones arent as shiny, but when they get new leafs they are more shiny. Maybe because its dry in my house- they need to be more leathery to keep moist?

And since I cant grow outside, I dont have problems with bugs and insects eating them.

Yeah, I love pics and I love to write😎😂😜

What ever works for you. They look kind of cool in the glass containers.
