Default Winter 2014-15 Windowsill Setup

This sunroom has north, east, and south facing windows. The southeast corner is where most of the plants are grown.

The East windows get sun for 3-4 hours, then the South windows get it for about the same, albeit hotter and more direct.

When there are no leaves on the trees outside, this is a very bright room!

Heating in this room is kept low, and humidity hovers around 60%. Temps range 17-22°C.

Hopefully they will give me a great show during the cold, dreary days ahead!

PHOTOS

Looking east. Paphs, Phals, and some seedlings.

Looking South. Light lovers. Bright!

Looks very nice! Nice decorative shelves too. And indeed, there's plenty more room for lots more orchid babies.
Is that a mounted Phal in the upper right corner of the first photo?

Thumbs up

If I was an orchid,I'd be so happy in this spa! Since I don't see humidity trays,do you use a humidifier or maybe it's not an issue for you. Lovely space!

Mais oui mademoiselle! It is a rescue Phal, just mounted this summer! It is in double spike and should be very pretty when all bloomed out!

I haven't had to yet, this is the ambient humidity! I think it come from all the plants! I would imagine with the dry winter, I will have to run a humidifier. But we shall see!
