Default My Trader Joe's Planter

I hope I can navigate pictures after tapatalk new update lol.

A while ago I realised I needed to find more efficient uses of my space regarding orchids.
I came up with lots of ideas that I'm really excited about, but so far this is the only one that's been attempted.

I grabbed an old decorative... erm... tiny table? I'm not sure if they have a name...
I grabbed one from my side yard, an old ceramic water tray for a pot that is long gone.
I caveman style broke quite a few holes in the bottom. No power tools at this house lol... though I must start my hobbies are slowly demanding I learn..

After that I grabbed the most attractive piece of lava rock I had in my yard. And boiled it.
I took it up stairs, filled it with orchid mix and moss, placed the rock in, and put it on the table.
After that I sorted through my orchids, and found a few sort of matching mini phals from Trader Joe's that were struggling, a paph I didn't know where to put, and a mini cattleya that I feared potting. All from trader Joe's

Im still in year one with all but a few phals, so I'm learning this year... decided to torture some NOIDS from Trader Joe's before I start dropping too much cash.

I then decide this planter would be a Trader Joe's themed planter.
I potted the phals around the edge, the paph upright in the medium,v and the mini cattleya I mounted on the rock.

I have since purchased another paph, and two more mini cattleyas from Trader Joe's.

I initially held off on sharing this in case everything died and it was a miserable failure. But I've seen some encouraging results.

Oops... only one picture made it.
Sorry for how much I ramble guys. .
So... the actual plants...

First up we have a shot of two of the four phals and the two paphs...
The phals were nearly rootless when potted, they have since grown new leaves, I see some new roots, and are still growing.
I think they are in their upper threshold of light maybe?
The old leaves developed a purple tint since being potted, and we're quite large, round, and floppy. The new ones are much smaller, very pointy, avg much more rigid.

The paph in front is relatively new, it did come with the bud nestled in the leaves. But I'm calling it a win to get it to grow out and bloom. Behind it is another paph, this one I can take some credit for. It's started and halfway completed two new fans since being put in.
There's one phal on the other side of the planter which gets considerably more sun, in the shadiest spot possible.
I honestly thought it was dead, I forgot about it, it fell behind some furniture... I didn't notice for 3 weeks it was missing.
I planted it in case. Voila! Itis growing... the new leaf is spotted!

So... the cattleyas...
This first one is the one I attached in the beginning. It's grown new roots, killed the old ones lol. Grown a psuedobulb, and is making another.

The next one is the newest one, it came with no roots, but it is starting some now! It's also the smallest.

The last one is the largest... it started a growth, and just started roots, which are very red. Quite pretty.

That's it.... this is in my bedroom, right under a south facing window, and right next to a west facing window. The west window has a sheer curtain.
The cattleyas get much more direct light than the phals and paphs, and the other half of the planter gets a perfect in between the two. Brighter than the left but not as bright as the cattleyas.
No idea if this is enough to flower everyone. But I'll worry about that later.

Umm... clear garden tape... I liked how broad it was.. I initially tied the first one with cotton line and it dug into the roots and growths too much for my liking.

The yellowish ceramic dish everything is in. I hate the colour.
But I haven't found a replacement and it fits its job rather well
