The smaller the suction cup, the better they stick and the more weight they will hold. I buy a 5 pack at home depot for 2$, next to the framing items, wall hangers and such. I would buy a few different types and experiment with them. Some are much more efficient than others.

Cool! Thanks for the info.

I don't think it sounds scary - I have small (1 cup) acrylic hummingbird feeders that stick on the windows with suction cups. They hold well!

I've also seen window perches for cats that hang from suction cups on the window.

I got the idea to use them from a previous post about bathroom suction cup soap holders being used as pots lolz. That post was one of the coolest thing I've seen on here. Goes to show you how easily impressed I am.
I don't pull them down, but that's a very good tip. And I love the soap holders as pots idea!!! Thanks for passing it on!!

Yes, I've seen this, and I do it too! I get mine from Lowes & Walgreens has them too sometimes... Great post. I have one of those cat perches with suction cups, but can't find a place to put them, w/o displacing my orchids!

Wish I had skylights... I wouldn't have thought that would work! That's pretty cool And, I do what Professor Plant does, and re-stick them every-so-often (just in case).

Thanks for the suction cup "resticking" idea. My soap holder orchid shelf fell and "bombed" my Aergs. biloba cracking the leaf. Dear hubby put a clear shelf up to replace the soap holders in the low light grow area. I still have suction cups for the catts. Will restick them today.
