And yes keep updating this thread as you fill that space up! I love seeing these threads and read how people take care of the chids and see what's in flower and how big everyone's plants are getting! |

You are truly the angel of your phal. :-) Can you share with us how did you nurture it back to health? |

I'm not exactly sure to be honest lol. I made a potting mix of half sphagnum half medium grade bark. I soaked the whole plant in a water and rooting harmone mixture for a hour. Bought that pot you see in the photo. And stuck the poor shriveled guy in there. After that I just watered as normal. I also sprayed the bottoms of the leaves daily, bit I'm not sure if that did anything. Eventually it started growing and recovering. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2 |

Am sorry, I've got one more question : how did you "watered as normal" for your above mentioned Phals? Am currently rescueing 2 Phals with rot roots, have repot them in unglaze clay pots with side holes with charcoal & bark mix, but am not sure how to water them correctly. Appreciate your answer, thank you! |
hoonming: generally, you want the roots to dry out between waterings - the outside of them should go back to being silvery/whitish for a day or so before they're thoroughly watered. This is usually about once a week, but depends on humidity/temperature/pot size etc. This is one reason clear pots are quite useful for novice orchid growers.
