There is always that! I shouldn't complain - with the climate here, at least I am able to grow some outdoors year-round (tho do always need to keep an eye on the weather forecast)

Wow that looks awesome!!! Where did you get all the hangers & baskets? That would give me so much more space for plants.

I bought my baskets and wire hangers from Roberts Flower Supply (he is in Ohio, here) but many other orchid vendors offer them. I bought the longest hangers I could, then trimmed with wire cutters to the size I wanted. I used the extra wire to hang the smallest baskets.

Thanks! I actually made a makeshift little basket today out of popsicle sticks glued together for my tiny r. gigantea Will have to buy a bunch of those hangers and real baskets..I have issues fitting all the other houseplants indoors in winter, plus I 'accidentally' have several new orchids on the way
The name stems from what I draw, art is one of my other hobbies

Last August, I realized I didn't have room and bought the hangers. I was panicking. Before the plants go outside, I plan to document where they all are so they fit inside this autumn. The pictures should help.

2013 update
Here is the new window arrangement for the winter of 2013-14. The big 'empty' bowl of dirt contains bulbs, ready for another year. They will soon be sprouting. I have plants in other windows, too, but the majority of orchids are somewhere among these windows.

Dragonsong, when I updated this, I saw your post again and just had to say, dragons and most other fantasy creatures are really difficult stuff to draw (but very fun!). Good luck with your art!
