WOW!!! I love that shelf! You should do a tutorial on building those shelves! The only prob I would have with making a shelf like yours is the mathematical/measurements part of it! ( ugh, I'm horrible at math.... But... I have worked with concrete, and seen/helped someone do this type of thing (like w/ concrete countertops) as well as having the opportunity to see/help with the process again this summer!) And I just find it fascinating! What kind of material is it that u use? It seems almost similar to concrete, but u said its a composite?
Keep up the good (and absolutely beautiful) work!!! Can't wait to see the next one!!

Thanks Mary!
Unfortunately, a tutorial is not feasible. For one thing, the recipe of my material is very proprietary. But even if it weren't, the ingredients are not available to consumers, and many of them I have to buy in large quantities.
If you are serious about doing this yourself, we can continue this discussion in private.

Island Girl, you want to make one yourself? I have a much better idea. Have ALToronto come to your house to make the shelf, but you have to get in line. FIRST he's coming to MY house!

Yes, these 4 plus one bigger vanda basket were all made from one 6' long cedar fence board and a bit of galvanized steel wire. I spent one evening cutting the board into strips, chopping them to lengths and drilling holes in the ends of each piece. The next day, I put my kids to work assembling them. I made the mistake of thinking they'd enjoy it. At least the baskets got made.
Carpe Diem, thanks for the compliment.
