Thanks Sue...another advantage to this is that you are not bound to ordering your plants from NWO... Orchids Limited, Cal Orchids and Asiatica Nursery also carry a variety of cultivars...though if your aim is to order the project #6 plant and the neos at the same time this might pose problems...

Oak Hill carries Sederia and Neo, but I don't know if there are varieties in the Neos there.

OK, so really then, all we'll need is the list of people and whether they are ordering from NWO or not. Gwen can then get back to Dr. Lehr and we can go from there. We should be able to get that done quite quickly...

I'll post the list of names in a new thread, and if everyone can respond there whether they intend to order from New World Orchids, then Gwen will have the info that she'll need to see what we can arrange with them.

Just a question. I'm not familiar with NWO, so how does it work for us Europeans? Can we order there too, or do we need to find a source in the EU?

Camille, I am ordering from them as they are going to at the Orchid Show in Tatton here in the UK in early June.

Tatton Park Flower Show - orchids for sale

I will pick mine up from there, but they may be able to bring the plants along with them and post them to you from the UK. (I think Sue did something similar to this with an Australian Dendrobium??) If all else fails, I can pick up yours and send it to you myself....

Of course it is up to each person to decide what plant they want and where they want to get it from. From the bit of researching I've done, it seems to be quite similar to the difference between getting a named clone of a Phal and a NOID Phal.

In this case, yes, they are both Neos, but one has traceable past, the other is unknown. FWIW, I have two NOID Neos, both are lovely plants, and both are quite different to each other, very different leaf textures and habits and sizes - still waiting to see the flowering habit!! But there is enormous variation between plants - as I'm sure you'll have noticed!

That sounds good to me. It would be so nice of you to do that for me if NWO can't.
Of course, for now I don't know if I will participate in this, as much as I want to. I know that I'll be getting some travel companions for the project plant, so I'll be spending quite a bit. It will depend on the price of the neo+ shipping. Unless I find one at a french vendor.
