I have only bought from Hausemann’s since I’m from Joliet, I’m only 30-35 mins from them. And I’ve purchased from two eBay sellers and I received beautiful plants. So I guess I was expecting that quality plants. Here’s a pic of what I received.
All of the orchids I received were dehydrated. Most them had some sort of fungal or bacterial rot. Some on the leaves and some on the stem. I received a little Phal. Described as blooming size but it was as small as my hand. So not sure about that one. I think the only good one I received was a Miltassia & that was from the Hawaiian relieve thing there were doing.

I'm sorry that you have had this kind of experience. I've been there with a different vendor and it is highly discouraging, especially when there customer service isn't up to par.
I would be upset if I received plants in that condition. I don't expect perfect, but I have seen better plants in the clearance section at my local Home Depot than what you received from Seattle Orchid. IMO, most of those plants are rehab plants and you definitely should have received a refund in FULL including ALL shipping charges. I would consider reaching out again to let them know a credit for shipping is not acceptable.

Well that stinks! For what its worth, I've ordered from them years ago, but never found the need to these past few years. Why? Because they are a reseller, which means they aren't really selling unique one-of-a-kind plants. Many of these varieties I found cheaper on other outlets such as eBay or Facebook vendors. That's even with discounts and shipping in mind.

Oh guys! I just had a nightmare orchid order from a different vendor....really heart crushing and the business owner was really rude....BUT! I had to comment and say thank you guys for sharing! It can be really hard to figure out which vendors to use or not use AND what standards you should hold for those vendors. This was helpful to put things in perspective for my most recent order...
ALSO!!!! I totally placed my first order with Hausermanns and it's a pretty large order. I have been in love with thousands of dollars worth of plants on their website for the longest time and just haven't ordered from them yet but finally took the plunge and ordered quite a few plants!! So, I am really happy to hear that they are good quality! I had the feeling like they were but confirmation is always nice! Especially, since it's SO hard to wait for who knows how long since that part of the US is like Antarctica right now! BUT, at least I feel confident they will put my plants aside and keep them huddled in tight until the weather is safe for shipping!

Hausermann's should make you very happy! I have been ordering from them for a long time. Their specialties are Cattleyas and Phals but I have ordered other orchids from them, too, and been very pleased. I mostly bought Cattleyas from them in the early days but, lately, I have been buying Phals.

I'll second the others, Hausermann's has great stuff. If you're a big Catt grower, be sure to check out Sunset Valley Orchids & Diamond Orchids too
Have fun with your new plants!

Thank you Leafmite and Stonedragonfarms!! I'll definitely have to check them out!! The problem is I have such a long "wish list" with Hausermanns alone I could be buying orchids for years before finishing it! Lol! BUT branching out to new wishlists is always good to do! Plus I am trying to figure out what standards to hold for these reputable orchid nurseries and so I'm enjoying ordering from many different ones to try and get a feel for what I should be receiving!

I purchased a Stenosarcos Vanguard ‘Fireball’, but it looks like they sent a Stenorrhynchos speciosum instead (mislabeled). The plant is really nice and was very well packaged. Fortunately for me, this was kind of a happy mistake as the S. speciosum would have been my first choice but was out of stock.
