Great Hausermann's order
I just got an order from Orchids by Hausermann. The plants are much larger than I expected for the pot size. Everything is very well-wrapped, and spikes protected carefully.
A plant in spike I ordered was out of stock, Miltassia Kauai's Choice 'Tropical Fragrance'. They substituted another Oncidium in spike, a more expensive plant at the lower price, Brascidostele Gilded Tower 'Mystic Maze'. I didn't realize that is such a large plant! The flowering pseudobulb is 7" / 17.8cm tall. The plant barely fits in the 3.5" / 9cm pot.
The Paph species I ordered are larger seedlings than I expected.
They sent some bonus plants. One is not on their Web site. It is a 3-fan CH-21582 Neofinetia falcata Shutennou x Neofinetia falcata. It will be interesting to see what color this turns out. Right now they have two other colored Neo crosses on their Web site, CH-22021 Neofinetia falcata Shutennou x Koto (red) and CH-22033 Neofinetia falcata 'Red' x Aerides odorata 'Pink'.

Wow ES, you’re on a roll! Sounds like a great order, 7” pseudobulb, must be a monster.
Neofinetia? There ya go. I’m going to bet it’s flowers are red/pink. Should be a nice big Neo too.
I love getting new plants!

Looks like you have some really great new orchids!
Hausermann's has always given me good service. During some terrible winters in the 1990's and early 2000's, they would sometimes need to wait a few months to ship me my orchids as it was just too cold and snowy. A few times, I would make an order, find something else I wanted a day or two later, and they would kindly add the orchid. One time, they had the box ready for shipping, found the box and then assured me that they had added the orchid. They really have some great orchids, too.

I was very happy overall and impressed by the size of the plant I got from Hausermann's last summer. It was my first purchase of a larger specimen plant and should put on quite a show this spring.

I haven’t looked at their site for a couple of years but one of my first orchid orders ever was from them and I was very happy with it. I need to remember to check them out every now and again

My ship came in!
Arrived in NY this afternoon carefully packaged with heat pad provided for cold protection insurance, nice.
