After seeing Camille posting about this company I placed a small order.

The plants arrived very quickly, they were extremely well packaged and very healthy. I only ordered three plants, but they did throw in a freebie - a Masdevallia - eek, I've not grown one before and just grow on windowsills we'll see how this progresses.

Definitely a company to recommend to European growers.

What did you order? Glad that I was able to 'enable' a fellow orchid addict to buy more orchids!

I ordered 6 plants, and didn't get a freebie. This was my third order from them, and I never got a freebie. I am keeping an eye on one of the Phals I got. I noticed a tiny bit of root rot on one (the most expensive one, of course), and it has quickly spread. I don't think it's their fault though, that plant was soggy wet in the box because it looks like DHL dropped the package in a giant puddle and one side of the box was soaked and that orchid was in that corner.

If you want to order more orchids, Elsner Orchideen is another nice place, I'm actually planning an order there (5 more plants!). I've ordered from them in the past, and the plants are just as great as from Lucke. They take a bit longer to ship out the order, (but the actual shipping time is also fast) but I don't mind the wait. I could also drive there, but they are futher away than Lucke (2h versus 1h15). Living near the german border is quite convenient!

I ordered phalaenopsis Jia Ho Summer Love which arrived in spike, phalaenopsis Yaphon Nice Girl x Zheng Min Tyrannosaurus and Odontocidium Autumn Tints, the freebie was Masdevallia Summer Sun.

I've ordered a few phalaenopsis from Elsner as well, they have quite a nice Catasetum group, but I prefer to order them in spring before they start growing- so I'll just wait and take my chances - update us when your Elsner order arrives 😁

They look really nice! I think that first Phal was one that I hesitated to get when there last week, but then something else caught my eye...

The Miltonia is a monster, even just one of those divisions would have been a nice plant to get. Great, now I want one too! This is going to be so dangerous for my wallet, knowing that it's just a one hour drive to get there.

I hope so, I have purchased a few supposedly fragrant orchids and not smelled a thing
