Default Seattle Orchids

Just made my 1st purchase with Seattle Orchid. Jumping the gun by posting this already but I'm excited between the reviews I've seen on here (and elsewhere) and the price I paid for 3 orchids. Ordered a brassia eternal wind in bud/bloom, a noid classic white xl bloom phal, and an "as is" wilsonara aloha sparks. All for only $24!!! I paid more for the shipping. The wilsonara is in bud/bloom, but has a broken spike. Can't wait for delivery day, and will post pics of the 3 newest members of my orchid family. Have a great week everyone!

I go there pretty often, so they know me on sight and let me take home rescues(thanks Destiny!)

And it's a few blocks from my mom's work, too
All of my orchids are from there(and are very happy)

I've purchased quite a few lovelies from Seattle Orchid. Super duper top notch customer service and the plants have all been fantastic. I also use them to ship gifts on occasion. Excellent presentation and lovely plants as well.

Sounds like you got a great deal!

I've had mixed success with Seattle Orchids.

On one hand, the plants I've gotten from them have mostly been healthy with one exception, usually larger than expected, and the prices are good.

On the flip side, I've cut back on my purchases from them because I've received too many mislabeled plants. And unfortunately, it can take a few years before you realize things are mislabeled unless you buy in bloom / bud. If the ones I bought were cheap plants, I suppose I wouldn't care as much, but with relatively expensive stuff and considering how much time and effort goes into getting them to flower, it's terribly disappointing to find out they weren't what I paid for.

My experiences over the years is, though they may have been excellent at one time, they no longer really care if things are labeled correctly and don't have the knowledge level to know the difference. Requests to confirm or clarify identifications are typically dismissive and arrogant. Might still be a good enough place to get a reasonably healthy plant with pretty flowers. if that is all you care about.

I have received many nice plants from them, mostly larger than expected. The one time a small, delicate plant arrived with a substantial wet rot spot on the leaf, they immediately issued a credit for the plant and the shipping cost.

I have received a probably-mislabeled plant, too, and the response wasn't informative.

I had a very good order and then an extremely disappointing order. I called and was very nice about the issues but they were completely rude and unhelpful. I was very surprised to be treated in such a manner. I haven't been tempted to order from them again.

I haven't ordered from them in over 2 years (much longer?). I had one problem but they made it RIGHT. I hope their customer care hasn't declined since.
