Order just came yesterday, 2 plants get 5 stars, the last gets 3. I'll elaborate later or tomorrow and add pics, running late for a charity golf event, I've got some day drinking to do

The only disappointment of the 3 (due to an extremely inaccurate description of the plants current status). Wilsonara Aloha Sparks 'Halloween'. Granted, I purchased it in the "as is" section, but the only reason I bought it was that the stipulation was that it was "in bloom with a broken spike" for $8. When it showed up, the printed receipt claimed this was a free plant, no I paid $8. Very happy with the 1st 2, not so much with this guy. Oh well, challenge accepted on trying to bring this back to life! Will I order from them again? Based on the 1st 2 plants, absolutely, just never from the "as is" section again. I will wait to see how they respond to my email inquiring about the flat out wrong description of the wilsonara before I make my choice though. I'm pretty tolerant so i would be happy with a quick apology, that alone would get me to order from there again. Hope you are all having a great Sunday, off to my parents for some comfort food, then gonna repot my 3 new chids!

When you do email them, mention the name "Aria".
Destiny will know who sent you.

Haha, I just sent the email, then saw your response DarkDragoness, just sent a quick one with your name in it! Thanks. I did explain that in the special notes section I requested, if possible, a free rescue orchid. I just inquired if I got the free rescue orchid (which happened to be the same wilsonara), but just didn't get the "as is" I paid for, or if I paid for a plant that had inaccurate description.

Yelp reviews for Seattle Orchids tend to fall into 2 catagories - 5 stars from local customers and 1-2 stars from distant shipping customers. It may not be a full reflection of the quality of plants and service, but it does indicate a possible pattern of problems with shipped plants. Responses by the company to negative reviews are combative, turning the problem back on the customer. Certainly the customer may be at fault in some cases, but it is a very unusual for a business to actively blame a customer, and that also indicates a potential problem.
My own experience with the company indicates they have some excellent and interesting plants but not great attention to detail, a significant knowledge gap for some employees, and someone involved in shipping is careless about sending out damaged or infested plants. Responses to problems or questions sometimes show someone is short-tempered and has poor customer relations skills.

They responded today, had given me an in store credit for the wilsonara I did not receive, the rescue was a freebie, was mentioned a note should have been written about this on the packing slip. Mistakes happen, I'll definitely order from them again, although I think my next order is gonna be with carmelas for 1 of those bulk cattleya deals
