Default Gold Country Orchids

I recently received a shipment of orchids from Gold Country Orchids. They arrived in excellent shape, well packed and extremely healthy.

The seedling and mericlone Cattleyas were mostly small plants, as listed on the Web site. Two were much bigger than I expected; one is a near-mature plant in a 4" / 10cm pot, rather than the 2" pot I ordered.

The other plants arrived in the pot sizes (or mounts) as shown on the Web site, but were bigger to much bigger than I was expecting. The mounted plants had great roots with green root tips. Phalaenopsis Kuntrarti Rarashati ‘Copperstate’ HCC/AOS arrived in spike. Epiphronitis Veitchii FCC/RHS arrived as a 4" pot completely full of stems, a much larger plant than I expected.

I highly recommend Gold Country Orchids for quality plants.

Our OS used them for the Holiday giveaway. All the orchids he sent looked really fabulous. We were all very pleased with the quality. I hope we do it again this year!

I picked up an Aerangis luteo-alba when they visited our OS, its growing great and is even giving a little offshoot/ kieki (which given the larger plants he had is completely normal)

And Alan Koch, the owner, is a nice guy, to boot! He is a friend of Roy Tokunaga (H&R Orchids) so he always has lots of nice den crosses too.

I'm glad you got the Kuntrarti Rarashati, I think you will love it. Such a reliable bloomer, and the leaves are very shiny and attractive.
