A week or so ago, mostly on a whim, I ordered a
Phal World Class "Big Foot" from eBay seller peaandshel. Peter posted a thread about these "Big Foot" Phals and I was intrigued, so when I saw it on eBay I pulled the trigger without even thinking. The seller, peaandshel, is also known as Carmela Orchids, of Hakalau, Hawaii. They wisely delayed shipping for a couple of days while it was cold here in Georgia, so the plant arrived today, a day in the 60s.
So, if you look at the eBay listing you'll see that the plants are described as "near blooming size". Thus, I was surprised that it arrived in a long, tall box. It's not "near blooming size", it's in spike, and the spike is heavy with healthy (even after shipping) buds. I think it's safe that I received a LOT more orchid than I expected in this transaction, but also safe to say they've gained a customer.
Two thumbs up to peaandshel!
