Oncidium Sharry Baby from Seattle Orchid
Hey all,
Just showing off another purchase from Seattle Orchids. Got two Sharry babies to give to friends (and hopefully produce two new orchid fanatics). Both are good size plants and in bloom with some more blooms on the way. The one of the left looks like the ends of the two spikes were clipped off at some point for one reason or another. The one on the right has a spike coming up in the back and a really long spike currently in bloom. Both are POWERFULLY fragrant, to the point that at its peak, standing near both of them makes my eyes water. Anyway, just some words on what to expect from Seattle orchids.
P.S. they are having a black Friday sale on oncidium Sharry baby and a couple other varieties. If you want a chocolate orchid, now might be a good time to check it out...

I got a really nice one from Hauserman's too. So far no scent though.

I have received good plants from both Seattle Orchids and Hausermann's Orchids.

Perhaps because we're always looking for a deal and a little variety. On the flip side, not all eBay vendors are "bad". I've always been pleased with my plants from Hausermanns and Seattle; though I've noticed that a lot of stock from Seattle Orchids is simply taken in from Ecuagenera, Peruflora or The Orchidworks, marked up 100-200% and resold.... peruse a bit and save yourself some $$

Yep. Wait for sales and coupons. Or play "wheel of ebay." Though I must agree with stonedragonfarms, there are certain ebay vendors I'm comfortable buying from (still had to play wheel of ebay to find that out though)

I just got a really nice minicatt from monkeybusinessfl on eBay, well packed and looks great.... an impulse buy because it was cheap and someone posted the same clone here recently. There are good (and bad) vendors in plenty of places, if in doubt look to see if that vendor has feedback here.
