Default Sophie's Orchids via amazon

Just received my 1st order, a Miltassia Estrelita 'Sweet Senorita', and a Miltassia Shelob 'Okika'. Paid the extra $5 for faster shipping. Ordered them late Sunday evening, they were waiting on my porch when I got home from work on Wednesday. Packaged very well, wrapped individually in newspapers and gaps filled with packing peanuts. Both are very healthy plants, nice fat pseudobulbs, have yet to check the root systems but assuming they are in great shape. The Estrelita has 2 pbulbs and is in spike, the Okika has 4 pbulbs plus a new growth and is at the tail end of a full bloom. Reasonably priced. Very happy with them, and will definitely order from there again.

I didn't know you could get plants on Amazon. Thanks for posting.

Andy's has been my first stop for orchids since I started collecting miniatures. I absolutely love his search engine too, it's incredible. Andy and Harry are very helpful with any questions you may have, used to call after an order to check up on your purchases. His shipping charges are higher than most though he uses fed-x and the plants always arrive safely. I recently found his listings on Amazon, not sure how long he has been selling there.

I think I'll check out Sophie's plants, I believe she sells on eBay. I always like a positive review as well. My pup is named Sophie.

Not to keep hogging this thread, but I went through some of Andy's Amazon listings and compared them to the same on Andy's website. Every plant I checked was $3-$5 cheaper on the site.
Cheaper on Andys website?

I didn't check plant prices but I believe shipping on his site is $10.00 more than on Amazon.

Kawamoto also sells on Amazon. I have ordered from them there and been happy with the plants.

Just a side note:

I look up plants on Andy's website then look to see if he has them on Amazon (best of both worlds).

If you are only ordering a 1, 2 or maybe even 3 plants, it's cheaper to get them on Amazon. Andy charges a flat $5.99 shipping few per plant on Amazon. The plants are usually a few dollars more as well, presumably to compensate for reduced shipping. Once you start getting more plants, it goes the other way and shipping is cheaper per plant... as well as the plants being cheaper.

I also confess that I normally buy on amazon because of my points credit card. Amazon points (for me) often equals a free orchid every month from Andy's!
