So, did they refund you? Did they hassle you? Are they responding promptly?

Yes he was very fair with refund.
And he sent me a package tonight also.

Just curious, what was the original plant purchased? Is the replacement plant the same species or hybrid?

See what I feel bad about is the next buyer who is a beginner like me making a purchase like this and infecting other plants that they might be starting to collect.
I wouldn't have known the difference had I not asked and received help here.

Those sellers are counting on just that level of innocence/ignorance. I had the same thing happen to me at a show, except I bought a virused phal which they assured me only had water spots on the leaves. It died slowly...

Just my $0.02, but I have had some problems with plants from this seller as well.
Bought some Masdies from him, they came with rotted roots and scale an eventually died. He did replace them no questions asked, but the replacements were not in good condition either (one was a very small division with few roots, the other had rotted roots again). The replacements are still alive and no sign of scale on those.
He was very quick to help me out, that said, I won't buy from him again. It's a bummer because he often has some Masdies I want, but I don't want to deal with nursing almost dead plants back to health... I will pay $10 for a much bigger, healthier plant.

I purchased from this seller once, not again. I purchased two Platystele misera bare root, the insignificant Platystele. I did a search on eBay for this plant and he was the only seller with any available. They were cheap so I bought two, took a chance.
When the plants arrived there were three, I'm happy to see. They had good roots, no bugs. They were divisions and oddly shaped though I knew they would straighten up as they grew. Sadly on day two they began dropping leaves, a lot of leaves so I contacted the seller and he ask me to give them 24 hours to adjust and if they kept dropping leaves he would replace them.
They did stabilize I potted them together in moss in a small plastic pot. This has been a few months ago and the plant is doing very well, growing and looking much better.
I remember laughing at myself as they were definitely misera (miserable) in the beginning. I've not looked at his listing again only because I really don't want to nurse a plant back from the edge of death again. I rarely buy bare root plants. I would rather pay more in shipping and plant price to have the plant at least in a net pot with moss.
