So, a little update.

Lynn Hausermann called me in response to my email that I sent yesterday. She apologized for everything that's happened.

I guess there was some confusion among people going on/off vacation and my replacement order was pushed aside/forgotten about/lost in transition.

She said she looked at all the other W. discolors and none of them looked to be in great health, so she has offered and alternative plant or a refund. I couldn't talk to her for long, unfortunately, as I was at work and I worked until after they had closed for the day. I did send in a request for a different species by email and will try to follow up by phone tomorrow if I get a chance.

I hope everything works out in the end and I really appreciate her taking the time to call me this morning, apologize and offer solutions.

Thanks everyone for your advice and I will post another update once a full resolution has been reached.

I'm glad it's looking better. Sorry it's been so much trouble.

Final update:

I am happy to announce that today I received a Coelogyne mayeriana that appears to be fully in good health from Hausermann's.

I am completely satisfied with the ultimate resolution Hausermann's has provided me - personal contact, inspection of replacement plants, honesty in the condition of same species, and willingness to substitute for another plant since none of the W. discolors appeared to be healthy.

Considering the attentiveness I have received this week, I'm personally going to consider my experience a fluke. I'll update the original post with an edit reflecting that. Thanks everyone for your input and helping me get a resolution!

I wish that was a final.

I repotted my 'BS Coelogyne mayeriana' today. Much to my chagrin, it's two divisions stuck in one pot to make it look like a bigger plant. Each division is only one muture bulb and one immature growth. The rhizome was cut some time ago and were, indeed cut. You can see a mostly clean slice through the rhizome. Maybe Hausermann's knew, maybe they didn't.

I wanted to like them, but, unfortunately, I will probably not purchase from them again unless they have something special that nobody else does.

So sorry your order was a bad experience. I have only ordered from them once and it was a good experience. Actually it was my first on line order.
