Default Glass Box Tropicals

While searching for live moss I came across Glass Box Tropicals. I've seen their site before, never really looked at their inventory though. Has anyone had any experience with this vendor, good or bad? They have some nice plants listed. Anyone? Thanks.

Pretty much a yes and no situation on my part. I do know Mike (one of the owners) -- he's pretty much the plant man while Brianna handles the pdf side of things -- but I have never purchased anything from his site. Mike buys a few plant related items off of me every so often (some micro mini orchids when I have divisions available or oddball vining ferns or other odd mini plants) then resells it. I also chat with him at some of the orchid shows every year.

Orchid-wise, he has his "pet" plants (he is a bit of an orchid addict) and those that he sells. His orchid inventory tends to fluctuate as he does not generally propagate orchids himself but instead buys stock off of other vendors.

Some "regular" plants like begonias which propagate easily from leaf cuttings he will do himself unless he finds a really good deal available through another vendor.

The plants he sells are all geared toward the warm to intermediate conditions they would encounter in a pdf terr with the concomitant high humidity and low to medium light levels.

Don't know if any of that was helpful or not but best I could do.

Thank you so much Paul, that is a great help. I found a couple of orchids I may buy, and his prices seem fair. I also like his package of assorted bark for mounts. He, like everywhere else is sold out of live sphagnum moss but I think I'll go with sheet moss instead. I've used it before. I was a bit surprised to see some mini orchids that other vendors are currently out of so I think I'll jump right in, give him a try.

I've not seen anything negative about Glass Box Tropicals. Thanks!
