Another great Hausermann's order
One of my favorite orchid vendors is Hausermann's. Their orchids are always priced reasonably and I can trust them to send me orchids that are healthy, with a great root system.
With winter coming, I decided to order order the three orchids I had been wanting. I ordered a seedling Angraecum magdalenae and two Phals, a bellina and a amabilis (in spike!). As expected, the orchids really look great. Even though the bellina was not even rated as blooming size, it has two spikes started, a really wonderful surprise. I had never ordered a Phal with large spikes before and it was rather amazing how well they packed it. Not one bud was damaged. Amazing.
Really, this place spoils me.

I just ordered some paphs on Sat (12/5) from Hausermanns's and have yet to receive any notification that the orchids have been sent, do they send you tracking info? I'm kind of anxious to get them before the weather turns.

duet_mimas, they will send you tracking information. For me here in Ohio, they have already shipped the orchids out on Thursday and I have gotten them on Saturday. They send via Fed EX so delivery is pretty fast. They pack everything very well and if they deem it necessary, you will find a heat pack in your box.
Let us know when you get your order!

I'm in Ohio too! And thank you, I'll let you all know. I'm getting a shipment in from Seattle orchids today (they sent it out before the bad weather hit them).
I ordered a paph roth from Hausermann so there is an added anxiety.

I am getting an order today from Seattle Orchids, too! I am surprised at how quickly USPS is going. They shipped it Tuesday and it is already at the local post office.
I am done ordering for the winter. First of all, I am out of space and, secondly, I don't want plants held for months if the weather turns cold.
What did you get from Hausermann's and Seattle Orchid?
Don't worry about the Paph. Hausermann's sent me the two Phals and they arrived in perfect condition even though we had colder weather. When you see how well they pack the orchids, you will be quite amazed. In all the years I have ordered from them, never have I had any problems. If it is too cold to take a chance shipping, they won't ship it. Remember, before they shipped the live plants, they cut Cattleyas for corsages and were shipping those!

From Hausermanns:
Paph Roth
Paph (sander's pride x Philippinese) New cross I think - I can't find any pictures of it.
Paph Spicerianum
Paph Glaucophyllum
From Seattle:
Oncidium Twinkles
Degarmoara Memoria Jay Yamada 'kauai'
Odontocidium Wild Willie 'Pacific Bingo'
Galeopetalum Giant 'Rhein Harlekin'
Phrag Mayling Nielson
Pot. William Farrel x Rth Schroders Love
Den. Antennatum
Den Atroviolaceum
Yeah, I'm done buying orchids as well, at least until the local Feb and Mar orchid shows occur.

Here is another reason I like Hausermann's:
The larger orchid is Hausermann's seedling size bellina and the smaller is Seattle Orchid's blooming size violacea.
I have never been disappointed with an order from Hausermann's.
Good luck with your orders. I was actually disappointed with the Seattle Orchid order so I probably won't order orchids from them again. I wrote them an email as the violacea was so small and the heat pack failed (even though they shipped the orchids Tuesday) and the box was ice cold. I even took the box from the mail lady's hands.... Sigh. That's life, I guess.
