Andy's Orchids--great order!
Just wanted to post some very happy feedback about Andy's Orchids. They had a sale on bare root orchids recently and I took advantage of the prices (incredible savings) to get some "wish list" plants.
My order included the following near blooming size plants:
Coelogyne viscosa (graminifolium)
Encyclia allemani
Enc. faustum
Epidendrum englerianum
Epi. quitensium (elongatum)
Miltonia spectabilis v. bicolor
Phaius maculatus (flavus)
Pleurothallis allenii
Restrepia brachypus
Sobralia macrantha
Total bill including shipping was just over $100.
The order shipped on Tuesday, October 13th and FedEx was walking down my drive with it by noon on Wednesday, October 14th. I picked the standard 3 day shipping, so this was very fast to get from California to Ohio!
Plants arrived bare root, each with damp sphagnum moss wrapped around the roots, then the whole plant wrapped in newspaper, labeled, and packed in the box with styro peanuts. Three of the more delicate plants--Epidendrum englerianum, Miltonia spectabilis, and Restrepia brachypus were a bit limp on arrival, but they have all perked up nicely since potting/mounting.
BTW, the Sobralia macrantha I received was large enough to fill a 6" round pot, and the rest of the plants were equally generously sized for their genus/species.
So, bottom line, I have found Andy's to be a consistently great company (this is my second or third order from them) and plan to continue ordering from them in the future.

As usual, Andy's doesn't fail to disappoint. Those look like a great selection of plants! Have fun with the resrepia, it will grow and bloom like crazy!

Andy's is awesome. I have ordered from him many times over the years and always receive great plants. They even call sometimes to see how you are doing with your new plants and if you need help with their culture. I always wanted to visit Andy's so about three summers ago I finally got down to visit his place. He talked with us for about four hours showing us all of his plants. He has way more than what is on the website so if you ever are looking for something you can't find, email him or call him. He usually has it. I totally recommend visiting Andy's if you are ever in his area. Sunset Valley Orchids is very close to him too and is also fun to visit.
Good luck with your new plants!

Thank you all!
Andy's has been consistently nice to work with every time I've ordered--plants as good or better than advertised, fast service, great communication, and plenty of customer support when I have questions.

Same here. I bought 10 smaller low light orchids for my up and coming large terrarium, and was highly pleased. The plants were gorgeous and healthy. The newspaper surrounding the roots was a bit dry on some (probably the ones on the outer side of the box) but all was well after giving one and all a good drink. I am thrilled Andy's is around! I can't wait for another sale!!!!

My order is still in the making. Many of those on your list are also on mine. I better hurry as the sale ends on the 20th. I love Andy's. I've had him call a good 6 months after ordering to see how the plants have done. For anyone thinking of ordering from Andy's don't hesitate. Excellent customer service and great plants. I've received an order of 40 plants in the dead of winter in Minnesota. Great care was taken to deliver on the warmest days possible and to arrange for my pick up at the nearest Fed Ex store so the plants weren't riding in a truck all day. All plants arrived carefully packed and did, are doing great. Back to my list.
