has anybody in the uk ordered from schwerter? - Orchid Board

I got a bit carried away and ordered a few orchids from schwerter in Germany. dhl have handed the package to Parcelforce worldwide last night so they're on their way.

am eagerly awaiting my phal sweet memory and pulchra's amongst others.

was just wondering how long it usually takes from ordering for them to be delivered?

am worried they may be delayed by the channel tunnel problems.

Not ordered from them. I've had plants take 5-7 days from other German suppliers though. Even mounted ones did fine with that just gave them a good drink when they got here.

An orchid youtuber (channel name: MissOrchidGirl) often orders from Schwerter with fantastic results. Mind you, it's moving across countries to get there, so I don't think you'll have an issue!

I am jealous of their variety, though, as a US nexus orchid grower.

I've ordered many times from Schwerter.
They pack the plants really really thoroughly.
Don't worry. I hope your plants will arrive soon. (Post some pictures then :-)

Here's a picture of my visit in February. That's just one of the 3 (open to public) houses.

I placed an order with Schwerter last August, plants were very well packaged and in excellent condition. Delivery took 2 days

Oooooooh iv been wondering about where i could order from being in the uk. Hope your experience goes well and that pic looks like an amazing place!

I'm quiet happy with my order, some damage on a few leaves but think they'll be ok. the dtps purple martin has a flower spike I wasn't expecting.

saw what looked like a pseudo scorpion in the phal liodro media

the media does seem a bit broken down but will repot soon.

heres my order:-

Phal. pulchra Red x2
Phalaenopsis Liodora
Dtps. Purple Martin with flower spike I wasn't expecting
Phal. Ba Shi Canary (seems to be 2 seedlings)
Phal. Luedde - violacea x (Coral Isles x fasciata)
20 10cm pots a bargain at 7 euros.
