HUGE shout out to Motes Orchids
I recently ordered 3 nice Vandas from Motes. They arrived in great condition despite the USPS' attempts to crush the box. They are growing happily in my greenhouse.
Today, my postal lady brought me a new package from Motes. Puzzled because I hadn't ordered anything more from Motes I opened the box.
Inside was another of the Vandas I had ordered IN BUD! What a nice surprise and how generous.

I love Motes. They gave me an extra plant with the 3 I bought. They were all healthy at a reasonable cost.

You can sign up to get emails from Motes. I bought four plants recently from Motes--all very healthy plants. It is very fascinating to know that my plants comes from the work of Dr Martin Motes!

There is an email once a month that gives information on what you should be doing with your Vanda based on Dr Mottes' book "Florida Orchid Grower." even though I don't live in Florida, I can approximate the advice for my geography.
There are emails announcing lectures, or new plants available--typical marketing stuff. They do not sell your information.

What was your shipping time? Do you know what days of the week Motes ships? I placed my order yesterday, and I'm awaiting my three seedlings with bated breath.

Mine was really fast, but I don't know what day they ship. Everything comes bare rooted. Everything I bought is thriving too. I have been wanting to show off these roots on one of my Motes plants. This is: Vanda tessellata (pink lip) x Vanda cristata
