Aloha Orchids
It's done at last, we got married last weekend and I had ordered 20 plants from Aloha Orchids. They came though beautifully! I ordered 10 dens, 5 blue and 5 yellow, and 10 oncdiums all yellow. There were a couple of yellow mini cymbidiums thrown in, I assume to complete the order of some of the yellow plants. They happened to be shipped through a storm that dumped 4-5 feet of snow in Tahoe, I did by heat packs.
It all worked perfect, though. There were enough to place 2 plants on each table and people got to take them home. Some plants were tagged and some not, it was not a requirement of mine. But they were very helpful and friendly and responded promptly to any requests I had. So I give them a
I'll post some pics when I get them.
Cheers!

Woo-hoo!! Erin got Married! Is this our first official Marriage on OB? We tend to do things the other way around here. First the baby boom of 2006, and now the marriages. Hehe. Congrats! ANd glad it all came out well. Just imagine all the new orchid addicts that can be traced back to your wedding. Hehe.

I'm hoping to create a few addicts outta this one, or restore faith back into those that had tried before and failed! I have 2 plants from the wedding at the Lab, and tons of patients comment on them and start asking questions about growing them and so on and so forth. So ya, I'm advocating these awesome plants as much as possible.

Viewing the photo in your link - I don't think your orchids look all that bad. I have seen and bought worse. There is no guarentee any bud or bloom will last through shipment.Changes in environment esp temperature can be brutal to some orchids. I have experienced many a bud blast in shipped 'chids. It comes with the territory.
It's unfortunate that this has made you so upset and that you feel it has been unjustly resolved.
I have some sellers that I would buy from again without hesitation if you wish a list - I can send it to you

After the 3 page discussion that took place in this thread, I don't think this post should have been posted. If there is an experience to be spoken about, an invitation to PM RomanHans for details should have been posted.
Now, RomanHans, if you'd like to meet some new friends and discuss orchids, please feel free to post a hello in our Introductions forum or a question in any of the other forums...we'd love to say hi
