Why I love Hausermann's....
Default Why I love Hausermann's....

I noticed last week that I actually had a little space on the shelves and ended up browsing the Hausermann's website. I ordered an 'in bud' Phal bellina (my seedling is years away!), a Podangis dactyloceras, a Cattleya var dolsa 'Gorgeous' and a Cattleya luteola. Then, on Tuesday night, I saw the Lc Mini Purple 'Blue Hawaii', an orchid I have been wanting for a while. I called them up Wednesday morning and they went to make certain it had not yet shipped and, thankfully, it hadn't, so the wonderful person on the phone promised to see that it would be added to my order. Today, the order arrived and, as always, the orchids are all super-healthy with an abundance of nice, firm roots. But, surprisingly, the Phal Bellina was in bloom, the bloom carefully wrapped. I was thrilled. Then, even better, the Lc Mini Purple is in bud! I had expected a seedling! And, this is Hausermann's.

I almost bought a Phal Bellina in bud last year when Hausermann's was offering them but I didn't and regretted it. I am pretty happy with the decision to get one this year. Actually, I have been happy all day, ever since opening that package. It made me so thrilled to unwrap the paper and see a carefully cushioned flower. My advice? Go for it.

If you do order, check out the dolosa 'Gorgeous' (they have a picture of a walkeriana but there is a picture on Orchid board) and the Mini Purple 'Blue Hawaii'. They are both really nice orchids.

I know. I see everyone's posts here and so many times, I wish I had more space. I usually can resist but, sometimes....
So, did you end up getting anything or were you able to resist temptation?

Leafmite, i saw there's a Phal. (violacea var. borneo x violacea var borneo) IN BUD for sale but didn't see the bellina. I understand both have strong fragrances but I really like the rounder leaves of the bellina.
